I read the article "Zoo disputes hippo's death caused by trip" from The Rocky Mountain News. It talked a poor Little hippo dying because it was confined in a little truck for to long and it lost circulation to its legs and died.
This story really made me upset because they killed a defenseless hippo. I mean if i was getting transported to a zoo and i died id be pissed up in hippo heaven. The hippo probably put its trust in the people to get him to the zoo safely. I think the hippo should have had a bigger crate he shouldn't have died. Its sad enough that the hippo was going to the zoo instead of his home in the wild. Would you like to be started at all day? Seriously they should have taken a lot more precautions.
This story is so sad, what if the hippo was in alot of pain. i would hate to die a slow painful detah like this hippo did. Poor hippo.

audre i dont think the hippo trusted the zoo people i think he was forced to go and it is sad that the hippo died but.

I agree though, that is mean to the hippo and he deserved more. What do you think this shows about how people view animals? People hunt, shoot, eat and some even abuse or cruelly kill animals. Do people have no respect for animals anymore, just as another food source? I love animals, especialy dogs. Interesting blog...
I think you should really blog about crisisses in the world a hippo dieing isn't a really big deal and there is no hipo heaven. I kinda believe it was harsh but it doesn't relate to the whole world
I agree the zoo keeper should have taken moe percausion with the hippo. They killed a animal that they had taken from its home to be stared at all day long. I would hate to be stared at all day long after being taken from my home. On another note maybe try on something other than a hippo.
